SOCIAL SKILLS GROUPS:
Our Social Skills Groups incorporate movement to keep children engaged and learning. The goal of each group is to improve communication and foster relationships with peers. Our groups use the renowned Social Thinking Curriculum. Learn more about our Social Skills Groups here.
SIGN LANGUAGE WEEKEND WORKSHOP:
Sign Language reduces frustration, provides a strong foundation for early literacy, stimulates intellectual development, helps babies speak sooner and builds vocabulary! Kelli Atangan, owner of Little Hands Pediatric Therapy, Speech Language Pathologist and Gallaudet University graduate, leads the Sign Language Weekend Workshops. This is a wonderful introduction to American Sign Language for parents, family and caregivers to facilitate language development all throughout your day. Over 50 signs will be covered in this 90-minute, one-day Workshop. Learn to facilitate communication through sign, songs and activities for parents and children, ages birth to three. A take-home packet with written and picture descriptions of all signs learned, songs and activities is included. You choose the location and choice topics and friends and we come to you! FREE SENSORY INTEGRATION PARENT NIGHTS:
Learn about Sensory Integration and Processing at our monthly FREE events with hands-on equipment training from Little Hands Pediatric Therapy Occupational Therapists! Find out about calming and alerting movements, signs of overload, tips on transitions plus practical, everyday activities that you can do both at home and at the gym. Need to bring your children - no problem - just pay the We Rock the Spectrum Open Play fee for them to play or, if they are old enough, they can sit in the meeting room at no charge. Don't forget your socks - everyone needs them to be on the gym floor.
